Not only the Spanish Inquisition, but WWII as well. Turkey was one of the countries the War Refugee Board was able to convice to take in thousand of Jewish refugees when the entire world was reluctant to have them. Man, do you ignorant, hate-mongering, Turkophobes know any history?
The Jews asked to leave Spain were actually moved into stolen Greek land in Thessaloniki during the gruesome Turko-Jew occupation, until a benevolent invader in 1943 freed us of them forever, thanks guys.
As far as WWII goes, Turkey traded with Nazi Germany and implemented a minority tax on Jews in 1942. True, it accepted any foreigner (Jew or Muslim) with cash to pay for a passport, same is true of many, many third world countries at the time, the Dominican Republic, for example.
Semih, you forgot to mention that that guy in your profile or avatar is also a Jew!
