Iranian Films Awarded In Greece

This Mehr News broadcast shows some hope for modern Greek muddled taste in culture, Iran is one of the few countries in the world to strictly enforce censorship of demonic themes that riddle Hollywood and Western European trash that masquerades as art. The sane state outlaws depictions of porn and alcoholism, and defiling of organized religion:

TEHRAN, June 13 (MNA) -- Iranian director Bijan Zamanpira was awarded the best film prize last week at the 5th Ecocinema International Film Festival in Athens, Greece for his two short films "Let's Not Muddy the Water" and "Window Facing the Sun."

Iranian directors have been winning awards at top film festivals all over the West, maybe we can finally learn how to copy a model that does not debase us....wishful thinking.

Should we also cover our women in cloth like the barbarian Arabs do? Sure Iran is a different case, because of their history. I don't think we should be looking for paradigms to the East or to the West or to the North (Poland of all places), but within Greece. Greece for too long has been looking to the outside for help. And we've been given help, over and over and over. If it wasn't for the EU, Greece would be in a worst state than Argentina if you want an example.

Yes , our women should be covered in cloth, because that is what is prescribed by our religion. Orthodox Christian canons mandate modesty and head coverings for women. This is most likely where the Muslims first got the idea from, along with their chants, prayer ropes and architecture. Orthodox Christianity was around before Islam. So the paradigm of head coverings for women and modesty is from within Greece.

The fact that typical Greek women go around flashing/shaking their buttocks and mammary glands to any bypasser, is a very recent Western import.

I would rather have a Greece that fullfills its destiny. Rather , than a Greece that choses to be subservient to the West in return for its soul.

Very well said, Hellenic Nationalist. In addition, I'd like to add that there is nothing "barbaric" about the Arabs. They are immensely more civilized than any country in the Western world. Furthermore, they have closer ties to Greece and Greeks than the West has or has ever had. I also don't understand this praise for the European Union -- an institution that has made the life of the average working-class Greek much harder and, in addition to that, continues to try and eradicate our ethnic, national, and religious identity. Despite these facts, all Greeks can do is praise the European Union like they have a bad case of penis envy -- except that the EU is an assortment of pussies and, hence, there are really no penises of any kind to be found there.
